Remove the fountain housing cover.
Insert filter into fountain housing grooves with white side facing toward the front water reservoir.
Slide filter down until flush with bottom.
Replace the fountain housing cover.

NOTE: Filters should be changed approximately every two to four weeks depending on the size and number of pets using the fountain.
